Job Description

As a Senior Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance server-side applications. Your role will involve driving the development process, ensuring high-quality code, and mentoring junior developers. You will be working within an agile environment, focusing on efficiency, security, and code quality while managing tasks and collaborating with stakeholders. You will also ensure smooth project adaptability, from domain switching to working with diverse technologies, and contribute significantly to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the speed of deliverables while maintaining optimal quality in accordance with project timelines and requirements.
Efficiently handle internal and external requests, ensuring clear communication and successful task resolution.
Manage stakeholder interactions, providing recommendations, and aligning development efforts with business needs.
Take responsibility for knowledge sharing within the team, fostering an environment of collaboration.
Follow code standards and application architecture rules to ensure maintainable and scalable solutions.
Focus on reducing code churn and enhancing reusability of code through modular, clean, and well-structured designs.
Ensure smooth execution when switching between different projects, ensuring that transition is seamless and does not impact delivery timelines.
Ensure security adherence in all coding practices, following industry standards for secure development.

Skills and Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Node.js Developer with a deep understanding of backend technologies and development practices.
Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js, including frameworks like Express.js, Koa, or similar.
Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong understanding of agile development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and the use of Jira and Confluence.
Knowledge of unit testing, TDD, and ensuring high-quality code with practices such as code reviews and continuous integration.
Solid experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with Micro Services is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
A deep understanding of code security practices and the ability to conduct regular vulnerability checks.
