Job Description

The WordPress Developer will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, including eCommerce platforms using WooCommerce. The role involves collaborating with design, SEO, and backend teams to deliver responsive, secure, high-performing, and SEO-friendly web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and customize WordPress websites based on requirements
Develop, customize, and manage WordPress plugins
Convert UI/UX designs into responsive web pages
Optimize websites for speed, performance, and scalability
Implement on-page and technical SEO best practices
Ensure website security including updates, backups, and vulnerability fixes
Integrate third-party tools, plugins, themes and APIs
Troubleshoot and fix website issues and bugs
Perform regular website maintenance and monitoring
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Expertise to build and manage WooCommerce-based eCommerce websites

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Hands-on experience in WordPress development
Experience with WooCommerce.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP
Experience in WordPress plugin and theme development/customization
Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Preferred Skills:

Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery)
Strong understanding of WordPress security best practices
Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques
Understanding of technical SEO (site speed, schema, indexing, etc.)
Familiarity with Git or version control systems
Experience with custom theme development
Understanding of hosting environments and domain management, knowledge of migrating WP from one to another domains.
Knowledge of related PHP server configurations.
